Summer "to do" List

I thought I would put together a list of things I want to do and accomplish this summer.

1) I want to make a few shawls this summer for fall, such as these:
Fragrance by Corinne Ouillon

Ridged Wrap by Andra Asars

Limonade by Corinne Ouillon

2) Make a few pairs of mitts for fall, like these:

Felicity Mitts by Cloud House Studio

Mags mitts by Louise Lamarche

3. Read at least 10 books from my Good Reads to-read list

The Highland Games and Other Updates

So a couple weeks ago, our home school group hosted an end of the year picnic. The theme was Highland Games. It was really awesome, they had people who actually take part in highland games come and demonstrate how they work.

After the games, they had medieval reenactments on how the scotsmen would have fought back when the Highland Games were invented. It was pretty cool!
She had a camera. Not very medieval is it? ;)

Red Bananas and a 50's Photo Shoot

(pictures are not very good for this, but whatever) :)

Okay, so have any of you tried a red banana before? Described as "sweeter then yellow banana" and "softer" we thought they would taste really really good. And wow! they are just so pretty too!

Well, they taste good if you like to chew on dry sponges.

So, to see if *maybe* we could eat them, I drowned them in butter, agave, and cinnamon.

Thats right. I fryed them in carmel.
Homemade carmel.
Carmel is reserved for yumminess.

Or to make things taste not like sponges.
The little kids liked the carmel drenched sponges.
At least they didn't go to waste. :D

Aproxamently two hours later I found out that they weren't ripe yet.

ANNNNNNNDDDD now, the moment you have all been waiting for since you opened this inside you computer browser......

The New stuffs...

The flowers are blooming, it smells like rain outside.
We went pretty much almost all week without internet (due to switching internet providers) which was.. Hard! On Friday, when we had it again, i was shoving in a lot of school work that had to be done on the computer.
I started to read the books Hamlet by William Shakespeare and Human.4 by Mike A. Lancaster and they are so good!
I think thats pretty much all of the news... Except-

I am hoping to get my photography business up and running. Do you have any ideas on how I could get it to "come alive" in a way? What kinds of photos would you like to see more of?
